Another THANKS to Sandy Hoyman, Kathy Vaughn, Nicole Hurt and Sarah Vaughn for being our overnight hosts!

Our next rotation will be in January – we will need your help again for these homeless families!

The UUCG Choir meets every two weeks to rehearse in the church sanctuary. If you are interested in joining the choir, please contact

New Members

On Sunday, October 5^th, we welcomed five new members into our church community. They are:

Sandy Hoyman

Marybeth Coulter

Nancy Halsted

Clyde and Rosemary Edmiston

These five new members are already very active in our church. Sandy is our church treasurer, (having officially joined the church last spring), sings in the choir, does an overnight with our, "Room at the Inn" rotation, and serves on the Board.

Marybeth is our new Sunday morning accompanist for our hymn singing and provides beautiful preludes and postludes.

Nancy has jumped right in helping with, "Room at the Inn" providing an evening meal, and, of course, she is busy with her little son, Donovan, and her daughter, Kate.

Clyde presented an excellent Sunday service for us, speaking about Joseph Priestley on Sept. 14^th.

Rosemary helps make coffee on Sunday mornings and helps sell Grocery Certificates.

Thank You!

We learned at the last potluck luncheon that Scott Clugston has compiled a large white notebook filled with information about our church: its many functions and maintenance details. What a treasure!! This will be so helpful for so many through the years, and must have taken much time, energy, and expertise to compile. Thank you so much, Scott!

Have you noticed that our sanctuary has more upholstered benches recently? Tom Woodrum has been hard at work repairing broken ones that we had received. He has added to our collection 8 two-seaters and 5 three-seaters. Thank you so much, Tom!

We owe a big "thank you" to Karen Clugston for her work as chairperson of the Building and Grounds Committee. She has worked under a heavy load of both inside and outside tasks to keep our church functioning and beautiful. She now finds she must step down from this position. Thank you so much, Karen!

Thank you, Bonnie White, for all your work with the Grocery Certificates. It's a great fund raiser.

Thank you, Ferne Pennyfather, for all your delicious treats on Sun. mornings to go with our tea and coffee. Yum!

Also, a big thank you goes out to Cassie Babbitt for being our sound person!!!
