We believe that our children are a very important part of our religious
community and we seek vital, creative, responsible and caring approaches
to including children in the life of the church. We also seek to create
environments where our children have trusting relationships to the people
around them - people of all ages. One approach to meeting these goals
is having our children will participate in pangenerational services throughout
the year. "Pan" means "involving all of or union of a specified group"
(Webster's). So pan-generational means involving or unifying all generations.
While there may be other pangenerational services through the course
of the year, there are six which occur regularly: UU Water Ceremony in
early fall, Day of the Dead in October, Winter/Christmas, Famous UUs,
Spring/Easter, and Youth Sunday in April. In addition, all the children
are invited to join the adults on the first and fourth Sundays of the
month for a Story for All Ages in the beginning of the service.
